This is the documentation for the first mission of Operation: Fallen Sparrow, Mission Code Name: Bold Anvil. Note, none of the operational maps have been included as they were maps of the Athens Georgia Airsoft field. While the scenario itself could easily adapted to another field, the maps would be useless.
Scenario Set-up:
· Each team will have one HQOC to act as the command element for the team they are handling.
Each HQOC will receive their own information sheet to assist them in playing the role of the team’s command element.
Each O.C. will of course need at least one radio to communicate with the team and the field O.C.s if necessary.
· Each team will have an FOC assigned to remain in the general vicinity of the team.
These O.C.s will be present to handle any on-the-spot judgment calls that need to be made and to deal with any observation of mission objectives that may be required for a particular mission.
Teams:
Glass Fox Units:
The U.S. forces will have one medic for every five team members that they have. One player with a radio will be designated as the team RTO (Radio Telephone Operator).
SAS/MI-6 Team:
This team will consist of 3 – 5 SAS operatives and one MI-6 agent. One player designated as a medic, one team member designated as the RTO and one player will be the MI-6 agent within the team.
Ukrainian Units (Alpha and Bravo):
One player with a radio will be designated as the team RTO (Radio Telephone Operator) for each team.
Placement:
Glass Fox Units: Glass fox will be walked to the fire base as their starting point last.
Ukrainian Units: Team Alpha will begin at AO Mexico and will be walked out first. Team Bravo will also be walked out at the same time as Alpha and will start at the Small town.
SAS/MI-6 Unit: Will be walked out last and placed in the enclosed building in the south end of the big town.
Scenario Play:
· Glass Fox must get at least one team member to make physical contact with SAS/MI-6 and give them the authentication code.
· SAS/MI-6 team may not leave the building or engage Ukrainian forces until Glass Fox elements have physically contacted them and provide the authentication code. Once the code is given, they may leave the building and engage in combat.
· Ukraine team Bravo will be patrolling the area indicated on their operational map.
· Ukraine team Alpha will be patrolling the area indicated on their operational map.
· Once Ukraine team Alpha reports to their HQOC that contact has been made then team Bravo may be redirected to assist team Alpha.
· Once Glass Fox/SAS/MI-6 team reaches the extraction zone (small town) they may call for extraction. Once extraction is called for the HQOC will begin the timer. After five minutes the helicopters will have arrived for extraction and the scenario ends.
· If the MI-6 agent is killed or captured by the Ukrainian forces the scenario continues until Glass Fox/SAS members extract or are all killed/captured.
Special Rules:
· The U.S. team will use medic rules with each soldier being able to be revived a maximum of two times. On the third hit the player is eliminated from the game.
· The Ukraine teams will also have medics but each soldier will only be able to be revived once before having to go to the re-spawn point and re-spawn during the re-spawn cycle.
· Re-spawns for the Ukraine forces will occur every 10 minutes after the start of the game.
· One FOC must be at the Ukraine spawn to time the re-spawns correctly. (This will simulate small squads of reinforcements being called into the area.) The re-spawn point for the Ukraine forces will be AO Mexico.
· Glass Fox members/Resistance fighters captured by the Ukrainians must be taken to AO Mexico and be evacuated for interrogation.
· When Glass Fox members are captured and evacuated or are eliminated (killed) then they have the option of going back to the staging area and re-spawning into the game as resistance fighters. When re-spawning the resistance fighter may only have two hi-cap magazines worth of ammunition for their primary weapon, no radio equipment and they must also be wearing a noticeable piece of civilian clothing. This could be a hat, coat, blue jeans etc.
Resistance fighters have no medics and may not re-spawn again. When a resistance fighter is captured or killed then they are eliminated from that scenario.

GLASS FOX FRAGO
TOP SECRET
Operation: Fallen Sparrow
FRAGO: 04-001-001
Mission Code Name: Bold Anvil
Situation:
There is an MI-6 agent carrying some very important information has been trapped in a small border village when Ukrainian forces occupied the area. The MI-6 agent is not by himself, he has a small team of SAS operators with him as well. The team is running low on ammunition and supplies and cannot fight there way out of the situation. The SAS team has placed false mine field warning signs in the area. These signs seem to be delaying the Ukrainian forces from entering the side of the village that the team is hiding in. They have not yet been discovered by Ukrainian forces but this could change at any moment.
Mission:
Contact the SAS team and MI-6 agent in the village. Once contact is established, escort them to the extraction zone and call for extraction.
Execution:
You will insert on foot from the Russian border. Your unit will move from insertion to the village, locate and establish personal contact with the SAS team. (The team is believed to be in the south end of the village.) Provide the code word to the team to identify yourself as friendly. The code word is: “knock-down”. Escort the team to the extraction zone and contact command for extraction. Extraction will be via helicopter that is on stand-by and awaiting the go-code.
Try not to alert Ukrainian forces to yours or the SAS team’s presence for as long as possible.

SAS Team Briefing
Situation:
You and your team where sent in to extract an MI-6 agent who has valuable information to report. The agent has been undercover as a missile technician in the Ukraine for many years. You made your way into the village that the agent was to be waiting in and made contact. Immediately after, you received warning that enemy forces had been alerted to the “technician” being missing and were combing the area searching for him.
Knowing that you were in an area where the resistance was also very active, your team managed to put up some bogus mine field warning signs that seems to have so far kept the patrolling forces out of the section of the village that you are hiding in. But who knows how long that will last.
You know that you and your team are out manned and out gunned by the Ukrainian forces in the area so you are currently hiding in a building.
Several hours ago, you were informed by your command that a NATO Special Operations unit was being deployed to assist you in getting out. Their authentication code is to be: “knock-down”. You are to sit tight and wait for the cavalry.
A couple of hours ago, your radio ran out of battery power.
You know you are running out of time and luck.

MI-6 Agent Briefing
Situation:
You have been undercover in the Ukraine for several years. You maintained your cover throughout the coup that brought the control of the communist government. Over the past several months you have uncovered information about a new nuclear cruise missile with a new type of core, giving it equally destructive ability with a fraction of the fissionable material required in most nuclear weapons. Additionally the missile is much smaller and built with stealth technology, which makes it the ultimate terrorist weapon if it were to be sold or somehow acquired. This type of weapon would give the Ukraine the ultimate first-strike capability.
As a result of your discovery, you contacted the necessary people to be extracted. You copied all of the data to a hard drive, retained the hard drive and destroyed all the remaining material on the missile that you were aware of.
You then made your way to the small village not far from the border, where you were to meet an SAS team that would escort you to the extraction point.
Unfortunately, your actions were pre-maturely discovered and the local military forces have been placed on high alert and are actually searching for you.
You made contact with the SAS team but you and the team are currently trapped in the village by patrolling Ukrainian military forces that have the SAS team out manned and out gunned.
The SAS team managed to put some bogus mine warning signs up that has thus far kept the Ukrainian forces out of the section of the village that you are hiding in. But who knows how long that will last.
Right before the batteries for the SAS team’s radio ran dead you received a message that a Special Forces NATO team had been dispatched to assist you. Their authentication code would be: “knock-down”. That last message was hours ago.
