Jim Hunsinger (Echo5Hotel) was raised in a military household until he
himself enlisted in the United States Army in 1988 after graduating high
school. He spent thirteen years in the U.S. Army, leaving the service
in 2001. During this time he served as an Electronic Warfare Signal Intelligence
Analyst. He has served in a wide range of assignments and locations including
10th Mountain Division (Tactical Combat Intelligence Support), Army Korea
Technical Control and Analysis Element (Strategic Intelligence Analysis
of North Korean military forces), Military Intelligence Battalion, Low
Intensity (Intelligence support of D.E.A. counter-narcotics operations
in South America), Kunia Regional Signal Intelligence Operations Center
(Intelligence collection of targeted threat nations), National Security
Agency (System Administrator and military liaison for the Global Command
and Control System computer network). Jim was involved with operations
during Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Restore Democracy, and Counter Narcotics
Operations in South America.
